Important Installation Information
If your awning is fitted with support poles, rafters, anti-flap kits or any other accessories, automatic retraction could cause damage to these components if they remain attached.
Once your awning has been fully set up and any additional hardware has been installed, Carefree recommends switching the BT-12 Master On/Off Switch to OFF. This disables the automatic retraction feature while your support equipment is in use. Re-enable the system once all accessories have been removed to restore automatic wind protection.
